How Trenchless Sewer Replacement Works
Traditional sewer installation requires you to dig a trench that is as wide as the sewer pipe and as deep as the pipe is long. You then have to fill the trench with gravel and lay the pipe on the gravel bed. After the pipe is in place, you have to replace the top layer of dirt and sod. This is a lot of work, and it is easy to damage the pipe while digging and laying it in the trench.
Trenchless sewer replacement is a more efficient and effective way to install a new sewer line. There are a few different ways this can be done. In one way, our plumbers may use a specialized device called a hydro jetter to clean out the existing pipe before pulling a pipe liner through the existing sewer line, the pipe liner coating the inside of the existing pipe as a new pipe-within-a-pipe. In other processes, new pipe can be pushed through the old sewer line, breaking it apart as it goes along, leaving just the new piping in its place. Finally, if replacing the exact same sewer line is impossible, it may be possible to drill a new tunnel through which to insert the new sewer line, which is still less disruptive and laborious than digging trenches in which to lay new pipe.
Benefits of Trenchless Sewer Replacement
Trenchless sewer replacement offers numerous benefits over traditional sewer installation. One of the biggest advantages is that you don't have to dig a trench through your yard. This means you don't have to worry about damaging your yard, the pipes under your house, or your foundation. It also means you don't have to worry about the cost and time of repairing the damage.
Another benefit of trenchless sewer replacement is that it is faster than traditional installation. Since you don't have to dig a trench, you can have a new sewer line in place much faster. In some cases, you can have the new line in place in a matter of days.
Finally, trenchless sewer replacement is more cost-effective than traditional installation. Since you don't have to pay to repair your yard and replace the top layer of dirt, you save money. Additionally, you don't have to pay to replace the entire sewer line if the only thing that is damaged is a section of the pipe. You only have to replace the segment of the pipe that is damaged.
